Vocal Director: what is their role?

The role of a vocal director will change from setting to setting based on needs, team and a variety of variables. Here are some suggestions to get you started.

MIDWEEK: Check who is rostered during the week and let campus oversight know if anyone is unconfirmed, look at songlist, identify any potential challenges as early as possible. Eg new song on the list, give the team an extra heads up.

Spirit Led Boots

About six months ago I was in the middle of a rather lengthy pursuit to find the perfect pair of leather boots. At the height of my chase I had driven an hour and a half to the only store within a 100km radius that had ‘the ultimate pair’ still in my size. Regardless of how long I have been leading worship I still find myself constantly wondering if I am cut out for the task. My hurdle of late has been fear.
